Taynara Leszczynski is a PhD candidate in Literary Studies at the Federal University of Parana (UFPR, Brazil) under the supervision of Professor Fernando Cerisara Gil. She is a Brazilian Ministry of Education fellow (PrInt, CAPES) and she was a Recognised Student in Latin American Centre in Hilary term under the supervison of Professor Andreza Aruska de Souza. Her research topics are: the representation of crime and poverty in Brazilian literature from the analysis of short stories based on real criminal cases that occurred in Brazil in the 20th century.
