First degree: SOAS, University of London; Economics & Politics
I did my undergraduate in London at SOAS where I became particularly acquainted with the economic and political reality of the developing world. Having previously lived in Ecuador, my specific area of interest was Latin America. The program here has given me the possibility to extend my knowledge in different fields, making the understanding of the dynamics of the continent multifaceted.
My current areas of interest are political economy and economic history, on which I am currently working in relation to cocoa and banana export in Ecuador. Nevertheless, I also follow Colombia and Venezuela very closely, with a particular eye on current political developments. At a more theoretical level, I have a strong interest in Latin American critical thought. I collaborate for different Italian and British independent medias on Latin American issues.
