Raisa Pina is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the University of Brasília (UnB), Brazil, and currently a recognised student at the Latin American Centre during the Michaelmas and Hilary Terms (2023/2024). Her research focus on the globalisation of the Brazilian meat industry, articulating the themes of development, political economy, capitalism, and elites. In Brazil, she is supervised by Professor Gustavo Lins Ribeiro. In Oxford, by Dr Laura Trajber Waisbich.
