Hello, I'm Philipp Neumeier, currently pursuing my MSc in Latin American Studies here at Oxford. My academic journey has been shaped by a deep-seated passion for Latin America, ignited during my time working in Uruguay. This experience not only enriched my understanding of the region's history and culture but also fuelled my desire to delve deeper into this captivating subject matter.
Having completed my undergraduate degree in Business Management I have been provided with a unique perspective to envision a future in international development, trade, and/or international relations, where I hope to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors.
Inspired by the diverse stories of my fellow students, I look forward to engaging with my peers and faculty members to explore the multifaceted dimensions of Latin America. Whether it's dissecting its rich history, studying its evolving identities, or examining its economic dynamics, I am eager to embark on this academic journey.
Outside of my studies, you might find me immersing myself in sports activities or working on my language skills, as I believe that embracing the culture and languages of Latin America is key to truly understanding and appreciating this vibrant region. I am thrilled to be a part of the LAC community here at Oxford and look forward to the exciting academic and personal growth that lies ahead. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect!
