Mia Prange

Hello! I am Mia Prange, an MSc student in Latin American Studies at St. Antony's College. I recently completed a BA in International Relations and Art History at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. There, I completed an undergraduate thesis examining the development of democracy in El Salvador and how it led to the election of Nayib Bukele. I am interested in researching democratic development and backsliding throughout Latin America, with a particular focus on the development of institutions and the potential lasting impacts of colonization and post-colonial society structure. At Oxford, I am excited to explore these topics further through a new perspective.
