Full Professor at the Adolfo Ibáñez Business School, as well as Ph.D. in Finance program director and finance area coordinator. Holds a PhD. in Economics from Harvard University and a degree in Business, major in economics, from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He is specialized in financial markets, corporate finance, international finance and economic development. He has published in many prestigious journals such as the Journal of Finance and the Review of Financial Studies- and has presented his research in the most relevant study centers in the United States and the American Economic Association Meetings. Previously he worked as assistant professor at the University of California Los Angeles and Chief Economist of a Chilean economic group. Simultaneously with his work in the university he is the Managing Director of Investment Strategy at IM Trust-Credicorp Capital, an investment bank with operations in Chile, Colombia and Peru, where he helps manage around US$10 billion.
