Luiza Vilela Amelotti is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE, Brazil) under the supervision of Professor Marcelo de Almeida Medeiros (UFPE). She is member of the International Relations and Comparative Politics Study Group (NEPI/UFPE) and Brazilian Ministry of Education fellow (PrInt, CAPES). Luiza is currently Recognised Student at Latin American Centre for 2023 Hilary and Trinity Terms under the supervision of Professor David Doyle.
Her research topics are related to political ideology, content analysis and regional leaderships. Using data from Australia, Brazil, India, South Africa, and Turkey, Luiza is analyzing the effects of ideology in the Heads of State’s speeches at the UN General Assembly.
