Hi! I’m Katarína, originally from Slovakia, and I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Modern Languages here at Oxford. My studies focused on Brazilian literature, African Portuguese literature, as well as French literature and political philosophy. My interest in Latin America grew through my modules on 19th and 20th-century Brazilian literature, which explored themes of inequality, poverty, and exploitation in the region. As I continue at the LAC, I aim to focus particularly on issues of inequality and poverty reduction. Additionally, I have a strong interest in the politics and international relations of the region and hope to explore these areas in greater detail
