Felipe Rocha is a political science PhD student at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). Under the supervision of Professor Marcelo de Almeida Medeiros, Felipe investigates the Brazilian Foreign Policy decision-making in order to describe the thematic emphases of Brazilian Presidents and Foreign Ministers from 1995 to 2018. He holds a Master's Degree (2017) from the same institution and a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS). In his master's dissertation, He analysed how frequent were the concepts of Latin America and South America in the discourse of Brazilian Foreign Policymakers. His main research interests are Brazilian Foreign Policy, Foreign Policy Analysis, and Methods in International Relations. At the LAC (Michaelmas 2019 and Hillary 2020), he is under the supervision of Professor Timothy J. Power and being supported by the CAPES Foundation (Ministry of Education in Brazil) within the new Oxford-UFPE CAPES-Print cooperation programme.
