I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where I completed a B.A. at the University of São Paulo and an M.A. at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. My previous dissertation analysed the strategic use of religious discourse within the 2022 Brazilian presidential campaigns. Before coming to Oxford, I advised election campaigns and worked as a strategic communications instructor. I currently provide LatAm-focused intelligence services to state and non-state actors.
At the Latin American Centre, I hope to shed further light on the deeply polarised landscape of Brazil's contemporary politics. My research involves interviewing high-ranking public officials to map how different elites assess the legitimacy of recent judicial practices. My non-academic interests include practising (/sometimes competing in) mixed martial arts and crushing Philipp at table tennis.
