Evertton is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE - Recife, Brazil) and currently recognised student at the Latin American Centre during Hilary and Trinity terms. His research topics are federalism, political parties and multi-level governance of the welfare state. Using data from Brazilian municipalities, he focuses on how partisan alignment between levels of government impacts welfare provision. In Brazil, he is supervised by Professor Mariana Batista (UFPE). In Oxford, by Professor David Doyle. The student scholarship is funded by the Brazilian Federal Foundation for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES).
