I have a strong interest in understanding Latin American development, global power dynamics and the effects of neo-colonialism on the economies of Argentina and Venezuela. I recently completed an MA in International Relations and International Law at the University of Edinburgh during which I completed a dissertation on the political and economic causes of the ongoing Venezuelan crisis. My fascination for the region commenced during the year I spent living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studying politics and law at a local university. In my free time I was in my element hiking in Patagonia and solo travelling throughout the continent. I travelled from as far south as Ushuaia to as far north as Costa Rica!
I am currently a member of St Cross College, Oxford. I am eager to research new concepts such as the connection between Roman Catholicism and politics in Latin America, alongside international relations between Brazil and China!
