Andrea V. González Negrón was born and raised in Peru and has felt connected to the issues of macroeconomic policy in developing countries and the role of emerging markets in the global power shift. After obtaining a BSc. degree in Economics from Maastricht University, she served as president of the United Netherlands Foundation, an organisation that aims to create a platform where talented individuals challenge themselves and are given the tools to continue their professional development. More recently, she became involved with 42Education, a start-up that develops applications to teach children how to read and write. In her free time, she works on study guides and other materials for Model United Nations (MUN) conferences and has participated in 14 conferences as a delegate, chair and organiser. Thanks to these international conferences and to academic programs in Germany, Hong Kong and the United States, she has been able to travel and live in different countries and see the world from different perspectives.
