Alejandro González-Ormerod first came to the UK to read History and Politics at Warwick University. He has not expected to go back to university so soon after his undergraduate degree until a colleague found that he qualified for the CAF Scholarship. He has found that Oxford has helped to broaden his insights into his non-academic work with civil society. At the moment, he is focusing on Mexican civil society during the turbulent 1970s in order to get a deeper understanding.
