María, llena eres de gracia

María Full of Grace portrays the exploitation of vulnerable women within transnational trafficking networks, following the journey of a young Colombian woman who becomes a drug mule in order to escape economic hardship. The film exposes the harsh realities of migration shaped by structural inequalities, limited opportunities, and global demand, while foregrounding the human cost of these systems. Through María’s experience, it highlights broader human rights concerns, including coercion, bodily risk, and the precarious conditions faced by women navigating survival in unequal transnational contexts.
