I am a postgraduate student at Brasenose College reading for the MSc in Latin American Studies. My primary interests are in the economic development of the Latin American region, with a particular emphasis on Mexico and Brazil in the mid-20th and early 21st centuries, though I look forward to engaging with other disciplines during my time at the LAC. Following my postgraduate studies, I hope to pursue an economics-oriented career in international development.
Prior to Oxford, I spent several years working in private industry, most recently working as a financial analyst at Google. Previously, I worked for the agribusiness company Cargill, which partially informed my understanding of the international commodity trade and the primary product export economies of Latin America. During this time, I spent over a year living in several regions of Mexico, which deepened my interest in the cultures and politics of the region. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Information Systems from Iowa State University.
