The International Latin American Network, set up at the beginning of this academic year, is an initiative led by students in the humanities and the social sciences from the University of Oxford, Freie Universität Berlin and Mondes Américains in Paris. We aim to create a community of like-minded graduate students to explore the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in Latin American Studies, organise academic events, share research, and exchange ideas beyond our respective home institutions.
We are delighted to invite you to our next event in which we will present the newly established working groups of the network and our new website. The working groups are composed by students from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds and from universities across Europe and the Americas. The three working groups will introduce their lines of inquiry and discussion related to ‘Experts and the State’, ‘Identities and Communities’, and ‘Mobility and Social Inequality’.
