Departmental Lecturer in the Political Economy of Latin America

The Oxford School of Global and Area Studies and The Oxford Department of International Development are seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in the Political Economy of Latin America. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (0.5 FTE) and the Oxford Department of International Development (0.5FTE) and to develop experience in teaching and course administration. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lecture and teach graduate students, and contribute to teaching, research, and academic administration of both departments. They will also engage in advanced study and academic research.

The Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) is committed to understanding cultural, economic, political and social questions through the study of world regions in local, global and comparative contexts. OSGA delivers world leading, multi-disciplinary programmes of teaching and research across Africa, China, Latin America, the Middle East, Japan, Russia and Eastern Europe, and South Asia.

The Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) is a multidisciplinary centre of excellence for research and teaching on the developing world. ODID is renowned for its dynamic and diverse academic community and its commitment to addressing global challenges through high-impact, policy-relevant research. The Department brings together expertise from across the social sciences to better understand processes of development and change in the Global South.
