Book Launch – The Recasting of the Latin American Right

On November 19th, the Latin American Centre successfully hosted the launch of The Recasting of the Latin American Right: Polarization and Conservative Reactions. The event featured engaging discussions on the book’s themes, including the reconfiguration of conservative politics in Latin America and the rise of radical right-wing forces in response to progressive changes.

Professor André Borges (University of Brasília) joined us via Zoom to deliver a 40-minute presentation on the book’s key findings, followed by insightful commentary from Dr. Victor Araújo (University of Reading), who attended in person. The session concluded with a lively Q&A, fostering a rich exchange of ideas among attendees.
