Alan Angell, Emeritus Fellow at the LAC, talked to Tanya Harmer about her biography of Beatriz Allende in our recent ‘Tertulia at the Latin American History Seminar’. Following the 1973 coup against Salvador Allende, he visited Chile in 1981 – he offers here some memories of his visit.
