Yawar Mallku (Blood of the Condor) is a revolutionary Bolivian film directed by Jorge Sanjines and the Marxist cinema collective, the Grupo Ukamau. Based on true events, this anti-imperialist film narrates how an indigenous Quechua community in Bolivia uncovered a forced sterilisation programme led by the Peace Corps. This film screening will be presented by OLAGN member and DPhil student, Anneli Marisa Aliaga, who specialises in Indigenous Andean CInema, and Pedro Lijeron Vargas, a current member of the Grupo Ukamau.
