Roger Merino is an Associate Professor at the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru. He holds a PhD from the Department of Social and Policy Sciences at the University of Bath, United Kingdom, and has been a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Global Law and Policy at Harvard Law School. His research agenda includes political ecology, environmental governance, and human rights issues. His book “Socio-legal Struggles for Indigenous Self-determination in Latin America” was published by Routledge in 2021. His new book, “Governing International Commons: From Polycentric to Plurinational Governance in the Amazon,” will be published by Cambridge University Press in 2026.
