Dr. Robert McDonald is an international executive and independent advisor with over three decades of experience, spanning roles in the private and public domains. He is a native Peruvian, a Cambridge-educated economist and linguist with a PhD in Management Sciences.  Dr. McDonald’s career includes serving as a ‘politically independent’ chief advisor to Peru’s President on high-priority projects.  His academic contributions include published works and a visiting fellowship at Oxford’s Latin American Centre.  He is the author of La responsabilidad social y los resultados empresariales en el sector de los recursos naturales: Una investigación empírica en el Perú que incluye la Minería, la Energía y los Hidrocarburos (2024), and La relación entre Diplomacia Corporativa, Licencia Social, Conflictos, y el Valor de la Empresa: Estudio empírico en el sector minero en el Perú: industrias extractivas  (2024).  Formerly a lecturer at the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in Perú in Economics and Project Management, Dr. McDonald is presently affiliated to the Universidad de Lima in Perú.
