Eduardo Zimmermann received a Law degree from the University of Buenos Aires and a D.Phil in Modern History from the University of Oxford. He currently heads the Graduate Program in History at Universidad de San Andrés, in Buenos Aires. He has published Los liberales reformistas. La cuestión social en la Argentina, 1890-1916 (1995); (ed.), Judicial Institutions in Nineteenth-Century Latin America (1999); (co-ed.), Los saberes del estado (2012); (co-ed.), Las fuerzas de guerra en la construcción del estado. América Latina, siglo XIX (2013) and many articles on Argentine and Latin American history.
