Mercedes Crisóstomo is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow in the History Department at University College London. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher for the International Development and World Development project at the University of Oxford. She completed her PhD at the Institute of the Americas, University College London, in 2022. Her most recent book, written in Spanish, is Género y Conflicto Armado Interno en el Perú. Testimonio y Memoria (editor, 2018). She is currently working on her first book in English, Longing for Revolution: Women's Militancia and Post-Militancia in the Peruvian Revolutionary Left. Her ongoing research focuses on The Pioneering Women of the Right: Gender and Right-Wing Politics in Twentieth-Century Peru.
