Andres Rugeles has an extensive experience in the fields of multilateral development banks, as well as in foreign policy and Latin American regional integration.
Previously he served as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Colombia to the United Nations in New York; Secretary of Transparency of Colombia; Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia; Secretary General of CAF - Development Bank of Latin America; Chief of Cabinet and General Advisor of CAF; Representative of CAF in Argentina; Chief of Cabinet of the Secretary General of the Andean Community; among others.
He did his master’s degree in politics of the world economy at the London School of Economics (LSE) and his bachelor’s degree in political science with an emphasis in economy and Latin American Studies at Los Andes University.
Currently, he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Global South Unit of the LSE and was a member of the Editorial Committee of “Millennium: Journal of International Studies”.
