Rebeca Viguera-Ruiz is PhD in Modern History. Associate Professor at University of La Rioja since 2011. She is currently a Senior Visitor at Oxford University (St. Antony´s College), and she has also been Visiting Scholar at New York University (CEMS) and University of Harvard (CES). Formerly she was research fellow at University of Cambridge and The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Her fields of specialization focus on political and social liberal experiences during the 19th century, as well as on the intellectual history of the concept of democracy throughout the 19th century in spain.
