Dr Francesca Lessa interviewed on the BBC about Obama’s visit to Argentina

On March 22, 2016, Dr Lessa was interviewed by the BBC in Buenos Aires within the framework of Obama’s two-day visit to Argentina. After his historic visit to Cuba, President Barack Obama travelled to Argentina, where he met President Mauricio Macri - the first bilateral visit by a US president in 19 years.

What was initially meant as a trip focusing on economics and trade became controversial because of its timing. It coincided with the 40th anniversary of a coup that installed a bloody military rule in Argentina.
